Programme Structure – BA (Hons) Theology & Worship Studies

There are three levels of study – levels 4, 5 and 6 – with three possible exit points on the programme, including a Certificate of Higher Education after 120 credits, a Diploma of Higher Education after 240 credits, or a BA (Hons) Degree after 360 credits.

Cert HE in Theology & Worship Studies (Level 4)

In the first year of the programme, students take core modules in theology & worship studies, including a practical church placement and music for worship modules.

Core Worship Studies

  • Worship Ministry in Practice (10 credits)

  • History of Christian Worship (10 credits)

Music for Worship

  • Vocal Studies 1 (10 credits)
  • Instrumental Skills 1 (10 credits)

Dip HE in Theology & Worship Studies (Level 5)

In the second year of the programme, students take core modules in theology & worship studies, and music for worship modules. Students also choose 20 credits of options, drawn from a range of theology, music, and worship modules.
