What is Faith Seeking Understanding for?

To serve Christ’s kingdom and his church, by encouraging and equipping the local church to understand deeply and to express our faith, both simply and practically, to our neighbours.

Here's what participants from previous events said:

“Really engaging, great speakers & worship.  Feeling Inspired. Astounding! Refreshing, enlivening!”

“Fantastic – I’m so grateful it has really strengthened my faith.”

“Truly mind-blowing – I hung onto every word that was said.”

“Faith Seeking Understanding at LST is a fantastic opportunity to take a deep dive into the Bible and the complexity, mystery and beauty of God’s word, under the guidance of experienced and Spirit- filled teachers. I would highly recommend it to both those who have a hunger to delve into theology and those who are considering dipping their toe in for the first time.”

Who is Faith Seeking Understanding For?

For all those in your church who seek to understand their faith more deeply: those hungry to get to know God more, to go deeper into his Word and to put this understanding into practise in serving his church.

How to get to LST

By Train: Northwood Underground Station is on the Metropolitan Line, about 35 minutes from Baker Street Station. (Take a train that is headed for Watford, Amersham or Chesham, not a train to Uxbridge which branches in another direction after Harrow-on-the-Hill).  It is also easy to connect from Aylesbury on the Chiltern line.

Directions: If you are using a SatNav please use our postcode: HA6 2UW.  If you are on foot from the underground station: turn left out of the station and keep going down Green Lane, nearly to the Rickmansworth Road: we’re on the right hand side, clearly signed.

Parking: there’s plenty of onsite parking.  Please note that the ultra low emission zone (Ulez) is just east of Green Lane, if traveling via Rickmansworth or Watford, you should not need to enter the zone.

Themes

The theme this academic year is Discipleship: Then and Now.  To see our planned two-year curriculum please see our calendar.  We will be adding a range of seminars from guest organisations.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be provided with a slice of (very yummy) cake but you will need to provide your own lunch: either a packed lunch or nip to Waitrose/Costa in the lunch break (both located near the underground station).

What are the costs?

We want to keep Faith Seeking Understanding as accessible for as many people as possible, so we charge just £10 per head onsite and £8 per head online.
