First Study

A unique feature of the Theology, Music and Worship programme is our focus on individual musical development.

All students on these courses receive individual tuition on their first study instrument, voice or in composition, and are assessed yearly by examination/recital.

The lessons are given by professional instrumental tutors engaged by London School of Theology, and a specific course of study is tailored to each student. Almost any instrument can be accommodated including harp, trumpet, violin, voice, piano, drums, bass, guitar, saxophone, composition and music production.

We place a strong emphasis on the development of instrumental skills, and this is reflected in the overall credit allocation for the programme. Students testify that the end-of-year recitals are an eagerly anticipated highlight of their studies in music and worship at London School of Theology.
