Sharon became a Christian by reading a Gideon New Testament whilst she was training to be a medical microbiologist in the NHS. After qualifying she went to Bible College, gained an MTh in Applied Theology and then worked for Crusaders, and Scripture Union.
Having worked at Moorlands College as Senior Lecturer and Tutor, where she also trained as a specialist for students with learning differences, she continues to advise them and various other universities about their special needs provision. She is also the part time Director of PACE, a Christian Schools Work Project in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
Sharon has been working with LST, helping to train lecturers and staff on working with students who are neurodiverse and delivering the Foundations Course. She has also helped students with study skills, as well as ensuring that policies and practices take into account the needs of those students who have additional requirements.
She is passionate about seeing young people coming to know Jesus and maturing as Christians. In her spare time, she leads young people’s camps during the summer, enjoys reading, walking on the beach and cooking.
