Malcolm is a very experienced educationalist having served as a teacher, governor, trustee or chair of numerous organisations.  A graduate of Keele University where he chaired the Council 2012-2014 he was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2015 for services to the University.  He holds an advanced diploma from the London Institute of Education.

After retirement from the post of Director of Education at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead he provided consultancy throughout England and Wales. He served as a Magistrate in Bucks and West London for 22 years, is a past President of High Wycombe Rotary Club and a past Chair of Princes Risborough U3A. He retains a trusteeship with High Wycombe Child Contact Centre. Peggy and Malcolm are blessed with 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren and worship at Kimble Free (Baptist) Church.
