David Johnston has held various academic positions, is a Fellow at the Higher Education Academy, and completed his doctoral thesis at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
In his doctoral thesis he argued that the Law of Romans 7 is the Law as preached by Paul’s opponents. His ongoing research draws on themes of contingency and coherence and the location of Paul within apocalyptic and Jewish perspectives, while presenting a detailed exegesis of the argument of Paul’s letters.
As Postgraduate Taught Programmes Administrator, he is excited to play his part in the entire student journey from admission to graduation.
