London School of Theology is the largest interdenominational evangelical theological college in Europe with over 300 full-time and 1,000 distance learning students. Over 100 are resident on campus. Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager is a new role. Following an extensive refurbishment programme of the student accommodation, LST now offers up-to-date, comfortable accommodation which has led to full term-time occupancy and a significant increase in the use of LST’s premises for conferences during the holidays.

The post holder will have responsibility for providing a service department for employees, students and guests, and will be a member of the Estates Committee that reports to the Executive Team.

The immediate area of responsibility is for efficient departmental processes and procedures, on- site student accommodation and development of an office coordinating off-site student accommodation, health and safety, security, procurement and contract management, and high- quality cleaning and maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Also, through overseeing three line managers, there is responsibility for three departments: Catering, Maintenance, and Conference and Special Events. Managing any future refurbishment programs will be the responsibility of this role.

LST is looking for an energetic Chef De Partie to assist in the preparation and cooking of food items for lunch and tea to include hot meals, sandwiches, salad bar, desserts and special diets.  To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure food is delivered on time and to the required standard.  To give general help in the kitchen/wash-up area as required.

To also provide catering for internal events (e.g. Fundraising events, Business Meetings, Discovery Day, Graduation Day, Laing Lecture) and conferences and events held at the School.

The Chef de Partie is responsible in the absence of the Catering Manager, Head Chef and Sous Chef for ensuring that meals are produced on time and to the required standard and to supervise the catering assistants/casual staff.
