BMI Mission to Serbia 🇷🇸: July 14–21, 2025
From July 14 to 21, 2025, Beracah Music International (BMI) facilitated a Worship Mission Trip to Serbia, hosting a Worship Conference led by Steve Thompson. Steve was joined by a dedicated team of eight individuals, including Hosanna Solomon, a Level Five student, and Peter May, a graduate from the London School of Theology.
Reflecting on the mission, Steve shared:
“What an incredible pleasure to lead this worship conference with our dear brothers and sisters in Zrenjanin, a small but vibrant town in Serbia. I feel so blessed to have led such an amazing, selfless team. Each person displayed growth, depth, and grace as we served together. Over the past 25 years, BMI has travelled to over 130 countries, and where possible, I try to include students from our school.”
The team experienced a rich tapestry of ministry and fellowship—full of laughter, late-night conversations, moments of vulnerability, and prayer. One unforgettable moment was when the team stood in faith with a local sister, believing for a miracle for her sibling, who is currently in a coma. Even though Steve’s wife, Velveta, was unable to travel, technology bridged the distance. She joined the conference virtually, not only greeting the delegates but also leading a powerful time of healing prayer—an encounter that deeply impacted all present.
Steve continued:
“I’ve been genuinely moved by the diversity of gifts and experiences within this team—from prison ministry, faith in the workplace, to academic pursuits at LST. But above all, I’m thankful for the servant hearts each member brought. They didn’t just talk about worship—they lived it.”

Throughout the conference, Steve delivered several workshops, alongside devotionals and teachings from Peter and Hosanna. Each morning began with these spiritually grounded reflections, helping to set the tone for each day.
The mission concluded with a joyful final evening at a traditional Serbian restaurant. The team enjoyed delicious local cuisine, laughter, and heartfelt reflections on a trip that left a lasting impact.

Special thanks to Pastor Jovica and his incredible team, who cared for the BMI mission group both spiritually and physically. His example of servant leadership—donning an apron and preparing gourmet meals—was a beautiful demonstration of Christ’s love in action.
We also gratefully acknowledge Alan Lin, visionary partner of BMI, whose support made this mission possible.
Even before departing Serbia, conversations were already underway about a return visit. Having engaged meaningfully with local pastors and leaders, BMI continues to feel God’s call to bless, honour, and serve the nations He leads us to.
As Steve concludes:
“These trips are such a powerful opportunity to apply theology and musical education in real-world ministry. We are truly blessed—so that we can be a blessing.”
