A Christian for many years, with a proven track record in the finance sector, having worked in the Christian publishing market for fifteen years.
I became a Christian at the age of eight, and grew up in a non-believing household. My faith was nurtured by my church youth worker and then university chaplain. I was the treasurer for Holy Trinity Norwich from 1987 to 1994. I now worship at St Stephen’s Norwich, where I am the treasurer and a PCC member, manage the book-keeper and attend a home group.
I have an honours degree in Accountancy from the University of East Anglia and am a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. I am very involved with the Institute and have been a council member (the international governing body). I currently serve on a board that oversees the student examinations and the panel that appoints members to global committees.
I have been employed by Hymns Ancient & Modern since 2005 and am the Finance Director. I have responsibility for finance, HR, IT, customer service and the warehouse, with twenty-six staff. My role includes budget preparation, monthly accounts, project management and the provision of business information to the senior management team/CEO/board of trustees.
I am the widowed mother of four young adult children. My interests include reading, socialising, enjoying seeing other people’s artwork and watching a good drama.
