Richard is a History Graduate from the University of Kent and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. A Francophile and always interested in other cultures, he has spent most of his career as a CFO/Finance Director living or working abroad, travelling to over 80 countries. This includes India where he met his wife Shivali, who subsequently graduated from LST with a BA in Theology and Counselling. They have enjoyed worshipping and serving in churches internationally amongst many denominations and nationalities but currently are actively involved within the parish of Great Chesham, where Richard is training for Licensed Lay Ministry. In his spare time, he continues to enjoy travel, writing (his first novel was published in 2025), history, tennis and hiking.
