Joyce’s spiritual journey has taken her through Buddhism and atheism before she encountered the transformative message of the Gospel. Her heart was moved when an itinerant minister shared the good news, revealing God not as a distant figure, but as a loving Father who embraces her as His own. For Joyce, the most profound aspect of Christianity is discovering that it is not merely a religion. It is a personal relationship with God.
Joyce pursued her MA in Theological Studies at LST, where she gained firsthand insight into the challenges faced by working adults returning to academic life. By God’s grace and diligence, she developed effective study skills and built strong relationships with her tutors. Her commitment led her to a research placement that sharpened her academic and research skills. Joyce graduated with distinction for her master’s dissertation and was awarded the LICC Prize in recognition of her biblically grounded exploration of women’s roles in ministry.
Today, Joyce serves as a Bible Seminary Teacher and continues to delve into her research interests. Outside of her academic and teaching commitments, she finds joy in church fellowship and quiet moments reading in the park under the warmth of the sun.
