Master of Theology

The Master of Theology is a first research programme, offering training in research and research skills. Candidates write a 30,000-word thesis on a topic of their choice, with support from a specialist supervisory team. All research programmes, are examined by an oral exam (viva).

Master of Philosophy

The Master of Philosophy is a higher research programme for those who have completed formal theological training to Masters level and want to pursue their studies at a higher degree or beyond to PhD. Candidates write a 50,000-word thesis on a topic of their choice, with support from specialist supervisors.

Doctor of Research

The Doctor of Research programme is for candidates who wish to pursue research on a given topic at expert level, in which they offer a fresh discovery or analysis in their field. Candidates write an 80,000-word thesis.
