On Campus Events

These events give you the opportunity to meet faculty, staff and students, engage in the academic spiritual life of the community, join us for a meal, and tour the campus.

Normally take place on a Tuesday (all programmes) or Thursday (BA in Theology & Worship Studies) and are spread out over the academic year. They are designed for anyone interested in the BA and MA (taught) programmes, who are thinking of accessing a course onsite or studying in mixed mode.

The day includes:

  • Welcome and introduction to LST
  • A presentation about the programme you are interested in
  • Attending a (Theology) lecture with students
  • Joining the community for the Chapel Service (Tuesdays) or the Communion Service (Thursdays)
  • Lunch
  • Introduction to Student Life (Panel)
  • Finding out about Funding your Studies
  • Information about the Vocational and Placement services
  • Tour of the campus

For those unable to visit us on a weekday, Open Days provide a similar, but bespoke experience of LST. Though primarily aimed at candidates interested in the Undergraduate and postgraduate (taught) programmes, we welcome interest in any of the programmes on offer. The open day will include:

  • Welcome and introduction to LST
  • A time of sung worship
  • A taster (Theology) lecture
  • Introduction to the programme of interest to you.
  • A packed lunch
  • Life of a Student (panel)
  • Tour of the Campus

Online Open Events

At LST, we believe theological education should be accessible, so we provide flexible options to those wishing to study with us. Most of our programmes can be accessed and completed online. Almost all the programmes can be studied in mixed mode – where some modules are accessed in person and others online. Just two of our BA programmes require students to come onsite (for part) of their course.

Online open events are the best way for those who are unable to attend an on-campus event – due to distance or personal circumstances – to find out if LST is the place for them. They take place on weekdays, at various points in the year, and alternate between midday and evening timeslots. Online Open Events are split into UG and PG (taught) Events. They are suitable for anyone interested in the taught programmes, regardless of their intended mode of study.

The online event is an hour long, and this is what you can expect during the event:

  • Prayer, welcome and introduction to LST
  • A two-minute overview of each Programme
  • Breakout rooms where a representative from each of the programmes will give you an insight into the courses, content, and structure of each BA or MA programme, with time for Q&A
  • A short time in the main session for general Q&As – funding, admissions process, etc.
  • Closing prayer
