Collaboration and Engagement
Partnerships
One of the strengths of any theological institution is its ability to collaborate both within the academic community and with external partners, including churches and global theological networks. LST seeks to build partnerships with national and international theological institutions, seminaries, and universities.
Associate Research Fellows
The honorary status of Associate Research Fellow (ARF) is conferred on a limited number of academics. The purpose of the ARF scheme is to enrich LST’s research, supervision and teaching-related resources, and to provide scholars who for one reason or another are not employed permanently in Higher Education with an institutional home. The status is by invitation only and is for a fixed period of three years, with the option of renewal.
We seek to publish a list of Associate Research Fellows soon.
Vocational Services
Many LST Research students are already established on a vocational pathway by the time you join our PhD programme. Many are also open to consider fresh, or additional, vocational pathways. LST’s Vocational Services provide support, guidance and resources to help you prayerfully consider your options, while you pursue your research.
We do this in various ways:
- Postgraduate employability seminar, which can open up pathways you might not previously have considered
- Vocations event (open to under- and post-graduate students), inviting a range of Christian (and non-) organisations to share their vision and to have ‘seedbed’ conversations
- CV review, where we will help you make your CV all it can be, for every application
- Almabase: LST’s alumni website and virtual jobs board, where a range of Christian jobs are regularly posted.
What some of our postgraduate students are saying about our vocational support:
I found it really encouraging to have these resources provided as I appreciate how much the school thinks of us wholistically and not just as current students. I have never been in such an encouraging and nurturing environment and I am grateful for that.
